Ronnie Loeffler and John Holly made the most of their University of Hawaii at Hilo homecomings.

Reggie Taylor doubled and tripled in his second straight three-hit game and Loeffler struck out six over five innings of work for his first win of the season Saturday night as the Hawaii Stars beat the East Bay Lumberjacks 5-2 at UH-Hilo baseball field.

Katsuaki Furuki, Brenden Davis and Felix Brown each collected two hits for Hawaii (20-25), which capped a three-game Pacific Association baseball sweep against the lowly Lumberjacks after two consecutive days off in the series

Loeffler (1-2) allowed two runs in the first inning then settled down. He gave up five hits and three walks before fellow Vulcans alum Holley came on to pitch three scoreless innings. Tony York pitched the ninth for his fourth save of the season.
